RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE: 2020 WiDS Annual Scholarship & Awards Breakfast

*Limited quantity of individual tickets are still available, please contact our coordinator, Melissa at [email protected] for furture details*

The WiDS Annual Scholarship & Awards Breakfast brings together hundreds of women and men from across the defence and security industries to connect, to reflect, and to celebrate our collective progress in creating a diverse and inclusive community. Since 2006, we have awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to those studying in the defence and security fields at this event. The goal of the scholarship is to promote the advancement of women in careers related to defence and security – the mandate under which WiDS operates.

This year, we are excited to announce that the WiDS Memorial Scholarship Breakfast will now be known as the WiDS Annual Scholarship & Awards Breakfast. We are making this change to fully encompass the fact that this event has grown to include scholarships, fellowships and other opportunities designed to recognize excellence in the contributions women make to the defence and security industries today.

In the past, this event has focused on memorializing women throughout history who have made an impact within our industries. Moving forward, the WiDS Annual Scholarship and Awards Breakfast will focus on Recognizing Excellence in women who are making an impact today.

This year, we will be celebrating future leaders in defence and security.

With the purchase of a table at this event, your organization will be entitled to nominate an emerging female leader from your organization. Someone who is doing great things; someone who is inspiring change; someone who is blazing a trail and setting an example for other young women to follow.
